7000 BC returns to New Mexico’s best and longest-running Sci-Fi & Fantasy literary and arts convention the weekend of August 22–24. We will be in the Dealers Room with books from group members — and our new anthology Dreams of the Roadrunner, short comics featuring New Mexico's state bird, will make its debut.

Some 7000 BC members will also be on panels and presentations:

August 2025 Meeting

August 2025 7000 BC Meeting | Saturday, August 9 | 1:00–4:00 | Slice of Life Anime and Manga | Albuquerque, NM

We're returning to Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6 for a meeting on Saturday, August 9 at the usual 1:00. We'll have our usual socializing and sharing work, but also going to use the time to get started on the big rats drawing for Bubonicon.

("What's with the rat drawing," you ask? In honor of Bubonicon mascot Perry the Rat, we collaborate on a big drawing of a rat for each year of Bubonicon and raffle it off, with proceeds going to charity. The winner of the raffle gets drawn as a rat in the center. So this year, we need to fill it up with 55 rats before the event ends.) 

July 2025 Meeting

June 2025 7000 BC Meeting | Saturday, July 12 | 2:00–5:00 | Slice of Life Anime and Manga | Albuquerque, NM

We're returning to Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6 for a meeting on Saturday, July 12 at 2:00 — note the later start and end times, we're on after their book club. We'll be talking about next steps and making sure everyone's all set for the anthology, and taking time to socialize and share work.

June 2025 Meeting

June 2025 7000 BC Meeting | Saturday, June 14 | 1:00–4:00 | Slice of Life Anime and Manga | Albuquerque, NM

We're returning to Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6 for a meeting on Saturday, June 14 at 1:00.

The main topic will be the 7000 BC table — what we have and how we sell it at a convention and what records to keep. Also will be checking in on anthology progress and generally socializing. All are welcome.
