June 2025 7000 BC Meeting | Saturday, June 14 | 1:00–4:00 | Slice of Life Anime and Manga | Albuquerque, NM

We're returning to Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6 for a meeting on Saturday, June 14 at 1:00.

The main topic will be the 7000 BC table — what we have and how we sell it at a convention and what records to keep. Also will be checking in on anthology progress and generally socializing. All are welcome.

We're holding our May meeting at the Community Room at DeVargas Center Saturday, May 17, 1:00–4:00

We'll be planning our anthology, but this will be an informal gathering of writers and artists interested in making comics — all are welcome.

The Community Room is down a hallway between The Alley and op.cit. books: 

7000 BC at Slice of Life Minifest

7000 BC is happy to be a part of Slice of Life's anniversary celebration. We'll be set up in the back and running workshops throughout the day:

12:30 — What are a comics?

1:30 — Advanced Workshop

2:30 — Intro to Comics

 

These are fast-paced, hands-on looks at what makes comics and manga different from anything else. Workshops are free and run about 50 minutes. No special drawing skills required, no equipment needed. Open to all ages, though younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

 

We'll also have independent comics and prints from local artists, jam comics where you can add the next panel, and a creator’s station open to all!

Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6 will be hosting 7000 BC for the afternoon of Saturday, March 8.

We will run a comics-making workshop at 1:00 and 3:00, a fast-paced, hands-on look at what makes comics and manga different from anything else. The content of both workshops will be the same.

Workshops are free and run about 90 minutes. No special drawing skills required, no equipment needed. Open to all ages, though younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

Some time after the workshop, we'll have a brief meeting to go over business.

February 2025 Meeting

7000 BC Meeting | Saturday, February 15 | 1:00–4:00 | Slice and Dice Pizzeria | 2225 Wyoming Boulevard NE, Suite C | Albuquerque, NM

We'll be meeting Saturday, February 15, 1:00–4:00 at the Slice & Dice Pizzeria at 2225 Wyoming Boulevard NE, Suite C in Albuquerque (just south of Wyoming and Menaul). 

 

There will be a bit of business and planning, but mostly it's going to be an opportunity to visit and work — stay the whole time or just stop by to say hi.

We'll be getting together on Saturday, January 4, 1:00–4:00 at Slice of Life Anime and Manga at 11200 Montgomery Boulevard NE Suite 6.

Start your year by talking comics and making comics. This will be an informal gathering, plenty of time to socialize and catch up. We're going to be making plans for the year, including some local workshops.
