Panel To Panel | Loma Colorado Library | August 31 | 2:00 PM | Free! | Rio Rancho, NM
Comics and graphic novels continue to rise in popularity and sophistication. They frequently garner esteemed literary prizes and comics increasingly appear in respected fine arts galleries and museums. Not to mention they can be just plain fun!
Join comics creators from 7000 BC, and put pen to paper as we explore how stories are told using the comics medium in this informative and enjoyable hands-on comics-creating workshop. The emphasis is on storytelling, not draftsmanship, so even if you only draw stick figures, you can create a compelling comic. Begin work on your Pulitzer or become a kid again for a day!

7000 BC at Bubonicon 45

Bubonicon 45 | Friday, August 23–Sunday, August 25 | 3:30–8:30 / 10:00–7:00 / 10:00–4:00 | The Albuquerque Marriott Uptown | Albuquerque, NM
7000 BC returns to Albuquerque's annual science fiction and fantasy convention Bubonicon. We'll be back in the Dealers Room (AKA the Flea Market) with a table full of comics from the group.
We will run a panel on The Process of Going From Text Script to Completed Artwork, Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in Acoma, by the Art Show.
We'll also continue our tradition of creating drawing of 45 rats — live, in front of your eyes — to be raffled off on Sunday afternoon, with the winner(s) to be drawn as the final rat; tickets available at the table.
Update: and here's Roslee as the winning rat!
